End of Regular Season Racing

I have come to the end of my scheduled season. I have raced my Canadian races, and I have raced in the states...now it’s time to prepare for Germany.

Unfortunately I am not able to spend much time over sea's before the Championship. If It were up to me, I would spend the entire month of July in Germany. But with minimal funding support and the fact that I have to maintain a full time job, I will be over there for only 10 days. With that, it also means I have run out of competitions.

My preparations for the championship will need to rely on strong training and race simulations. This is not quite the optimal way to go about this but I will make it work!

I recently raced in Ottawa for my last Canadian meet of the season. I had 2 weeks to prepare for this meet and I was hoping for some time drop racing against one of Canada's best hurdlers. When I got to Ottawa, my legs didn’t feel quite right. I felt sluggish and unfortunately that held me back a bit and my result was not as expected. I will be working hard the next 30 days and doing my best to fuel my body correctly so my legs feel happy and ready to run quick.

I will be leaving for Germany mid-July and racing in the German National Championship on July 25th. I will post any information I get as we get closer.
